‘MAATRA’: as the name itself suggest that everything should be in proportion. For us, designing is all about proportion: nevertheless – nor the more.
‘MAATRA’ is a young firm headed by architect Nirav Khant and urban planner Khushbu Khant with experience in architecture, interior design, landscaping, urban design, housing projects and hospitality mainly in and around Gujarat and Rajasthan.
I believe in taking up a project in its entirety as an architect, interior designer, landscape designer and even the developer to do complete justice. This generates an unbiased harmonious design that breathes as one – Ar. Nirav Khant.
Our every project set up a benchmark for us as well as for our companion. Being a young and experienced designer people have faith on us that we will serve our best to their each project. Our buildings try to be the best representations of their own reality.
For office interior we have tried to use all the material in its natural form. i.e. exposed brick for cladding & parabolic arch, IPS flooring, use of reinforcement bars for ceiling, industrial ac, furniture out of teak wood, customised chair design, curtain from bamboo sticks, rough plaster, etc. Glass partition is also following proportion of façade. Ultimately it’s reflection of our own philosophy – simplicity and transparency yet unique in nature.
