[dropcap style=”flat”]L[/dropcap]ocated on the slopes of Munnar, India, this 3600 square foot opulent villa overlooks the velvety green misty mountains. The client’s brief was to create a contemporary residence that’s tasteful, classy and luxurious with tailored finishes.

To fulfill this need and exploit the exotic outdoors, Savio has designed a pool terrace and a small outdoor wooden deck dining area with a provision for a barbeque grill with optimum use of the available space. These are created as extensions of the kitchen and dining room respectively. The terrace pool is lit with blue underwater lights which give it a romantic moonlit, dreamy ambience at night.

As for the furniture, Savio has tastefully designed and produced furniture with exquisitely finished teakwood & hi gloss white membrane shutters. The overall décor includes handcrafted as well as imported branded furniture.

Munnar being a hill station is blessed with scenic valleys and misty mountains. For an absolutely undisturbed view of the valley, UPVC windows with glass panels have been used.

Master Suite

The Master suite & bathroom of this villa has the distinct stamp of grandeur, class and luxury. The black and white theme of the main villa finds synergy here and is extended harmoniously in shades of grey and white. A splash of red is added to impart the right focus to the various furniture/elements of the room. The flooring has been executed with 13” broad laminated wooden planks which have been joined seamlessly to look like they have been cut from a single trunk. A black crystal chandelier further adds to the grandeur of the room.

Guest Bedroom

The specialty of the guest bedroom is the olive green element which is very pleasing to the eye and helps to create a serene, calm mood. This room has decorations of green digital art, bed covers and assorted cushions in shades of green in various shapes and sizes. All this comes with a custom made woollen rug of the matching colour on the floor.

Living Room

Orange is the theme colour of the living room. It has a wooden suspended ceiling complementing the theme colour and it defines the living area. A long, low level TV unit finished in Teak, Glass & White membrane fixed on the highlighted stone wall accommodates the home-theatre & music systems. This highlighted wall is clad in grey slate stones and a lacquer coating has been provided for a wet look. Hidden LED spotlights are used as wall washers to give the room a classy, rich and well illuminated look.

Kitchen

Savio has designed a contemporary modular Island Kitchen which is well-appointed and convenient. The breakfast counter has been attached to one end of the island counter and is made of glittering white Corian stone. A seven feet height storage unit has been planned on the sidewall with a concealed oven for easy access. The monotony of the black and white combination is gently broken by the teakwood paneling at the corner of the kitchen. One side of the kitchen has sliding glass panels and fully opens out to a shallow water-body.
